Tove Jansson (1914–2001) dreamed of becoming a lighthouse keeper and became a world-famous writer, painter, illustrator and comic book artist. She made her debut as a press designer in 1928 - then she was just 14 years old. She studied painting in Stockholm, Helsinki and Paris. She took part in the exhibition for the first time in 1933 and it was then that she published her first book with her own illustrations. In the 1940s, she began to write and publish works in various periodicals. In the fall of 1945, the first part of the Moomin saga, "Little Trolls and a Big Flood", was published. After two more novels: "Kometa nad Dolina Muminków" (1946) and "W Dolinie Muminków" (1948), the writer gained immense popularity, and her characters became a permanent home and in the hearts of readers
