How do Glo Pals work?

One cube glows for up to 16 hours, i.e. for approximately 30 evening baths. The cube only lights up when in contact with water. When removed from the water, the cube turns off*. After removing the cube from the water, it turns off. Each cube has a non-replaceable button cell battery.
