Educational cards

NANUKI Tree Walking Cards are a fantastic educational aid for children from the age of 5, but can also be used by older children and adults. The set consists of 30 cards, and each of them allows you to learn about the trees in the area.

The cards are durable and can be used repeatedly outside the home. Perfect for school classes, trips, extracurricular activities and individual walks in the forest or park. On one side of the card there is the name of the tree and an original illustration of a leaf, making identification easier.

On the back there are interesting facts about the tree, its flowering and fruiting period. The product is of high quality, both substantive and visual. The set is sold in a practical cotton bag. How to use?

Some suggestions for activities using the NANUKI Tree Walking Cards:

Forest match

For a walk in the forest, we take a set of Tree Walking Cards with us. In the forest, we look carefully around, observe and look for leaves. We try to match the leaves we find to the illustrations on the cards.

Collecting pine cones

Look for the cones of different trees and then match them to the cards. Pay attention to the time of year, whether the cone is closed or open. Take them home and observe. You can keep notes of your observations. Have you noticed anything unusual after the pine cone has been left at home for a few days?

Your own tree atlas

During your walk, collect as many leaves from different trees as possible. Bring them home, dry them, and then start pasting them into your notebook. Identify the leaves using the Tree Walking Cards, write down interesting facts about the tree, and mark when the leaf was harvested!

Forest stained glass

Dry and press the leaves brought from your walk. Prepare a frame from cardboard and cover the center with adhesive tape or foil. Sort the compressed leaves using Tree Walking Cards and stick them in a frame. You can create an oak, maple or ash frame.
