Salt has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. When heated, it accumulates heat and releases it slowly. When chilled, it acts as a pain-relieving compress.

Spread the pillow, pour its contents into the pan or oven. Heat the salt for a few minutes until it is warm but not too hot. Then pour the heated salt into the pillow and literally add a few drops of the oil to the sinuses.
