La Habana scented candle
The fragrance of La Habana is based on the memories of a sailor from Cuba before the revolution. The fragrance sheds light on the island's golden musical era between the 1930s and 1950s.
The fragrance notes of La Habana include saffron, resin incense and Laotian oud. The scent is aromatic, smoky and enticing. For candles 19-69, a mixture of the best vegetable waxes in a traditional formula from 1961 was used. Handmade in Italy. The candle will burn for approximately 48 hours.
“Known as the playground of the mafia and wealthy elite, Havana in the mid-20th century hosted a number of lively music venues such as the Tropicana and the guild-owned Buena Vista Social Club. The rhythmic pulsations of habanera, Latin jazz and salsa, audible everywhere, combined with dazzling dancers added charm to the tropical island. After the revolution in 1959, many institutions were closed and that was the end of the Havana era. The fragrance of La Habana is inspired by my sailor uncle's stories about Cuba.
